Autism Support Assistant (Full-Time, Term Time Only)
We are seeking a compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our primary school located in the M9 area of Manchester. This is a full-time position during term time only, offering an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the educational and social development of students with autism, helping them to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure that students receive the tailored support they need to achieve their full potential.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with autism, either in an educational or care setting.
* A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.
* Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and calm when managing challenging behavior.
* Relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or child care are desirable but not essential.
