About the Role
As an Assistant Audit Manager, you will take the lead on a variety of audit assignments, overseeing teams and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality audit services. This role offers the perfect balance of hands-on client work, leadership responsibilities, and professional development opportunities.
Assistant Audit Manager Responsibilities
* Plan and conduct statutory audits for corporate clients, both on-site and in the office
* Lead and manage larger and more complex audit assignments
* Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth
* Ensure audit procedures are adhered to and maintain quality standards
* Liaise with clients, ensuring a smooth audit process and excellent service delivery
* Identify and resolve technical or client-specific issues, providing effective solutions
* Support senior management and partners on ad hoc projects and advisory assignments
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support business growth
* Review audit work and ensure reports are prepared to a high standard
* Potentially manage a small portfolio of clients
Assistant Audit Manager Requirements
* ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with relevant experience
* Strong experience in statutory audit within a professional practice setting
* Exposure to group audits and consolidated financial statements is beneficial but not essential
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
* A proactive, professional, and solutions-focused approach
* Experience using automated audit software and financial reporting tools
* Full, clean driving licence with access to a car (desirable but not essential)
