Your future duties and responsibilities: Reporting into the Service Delivery Managers, you will oversee the installation, configuration and support of relevant software and applications for our long standing public sector client. You will act as an application support team technical expert for each of the services and applications within the responsibility of their Application support group. The Team Lead will keep themselves up to date on the product road map, developments within the defined products, issues, how the business uses the services and applications, limitations, Infrastructure and external requirements. This role offers the opportunity to utilise your mix of technical and people management skills as you will ensure that support staff (UK and offshore) have the required skill sets in order to provide a comprehensive support service for the applications within these groups. This will include providing peer to peer training and arranging courses where necessary. The objective is for the Support staff to be in a position to support the service and applications using their knowledge, skills, available documentation and colleagues to support the service and applications without your direct involvement.
