About the role: We are recruiting for a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Engineer to join our team, working closely with other areas of our commercial sales team to help grow our South East region. Y ou will develop and maintain commercial relationships with all relevant contractors and leverage your technical expertise, knowledge and experience, and commercial acumen, to deliver compelling customer proposals providing tailored solutions that meet customer needs. About you: Proven experience in an external sales role, ideally within construction, is essential. Technical expertise or a technical aptitude to learn about construction products and installation, and experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of the sales process and the ability to apply technical knowledge to commercial decision-making, is essential. Ability to leverage technical expertise to communicate complex technical information effectively to customers and stakeholders. Experience and success in utilising both commercial awareness and technical expertise to drive sales performance, is highly desirable. Construction market knowledge with particular emphasis on the contractors working in the civils sector, and an understanding of all contracting and supply chain activity, is highly desirable. Confident in building new relationships and strong negotiating skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusted customer relationships. Strong problem-solving skills to effectively convey technical concepts, address customer challenges, and deliver impactful solutions. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines under pressure. Civil Engineering qualification or willingness to complete relevant training, is highly desirable, but not essential. Proficient in, or adept in learning, MS Office applications and CRM software. You will be home based with occasional meetings and visits to our Head Office in Shefford, Bedfordshire, however, this role requires regular travel throughout the South East area of the UK.
