Recruitment and Onboarding Administrator – Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 depending on experience

Westgate Healthcare is an award-winning, family-run care home operator. We have 8 care homes across London, Essex, Herts and Bucks, with 3 further developments in the pipeline. All of our care homes are currently rated as ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by our regulator, the CQC.
We are now recruiting a Recruitment and Onboarding Administrator to join our Head Office team on a full-time, permanent basis.
We are looking for someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude who is flexible, highly organised, has good attention to detail and is great at using their initiative. Applicants should have previous recruitment administration experience in an office setting, excellent verbal and written communication skills and be computer literate with experience in using all Microsoft Office programmes.
This position sits at the heart of the HR team at Westgate Healthcare and will be based at our modern offices in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
About the role:
* Review and manage all candidate applications via our applicant tracking system
* Shortlist suitable candidates and conduct telephone screening calls
* Liaise with staff in the care homes to arrange, book and confirm interviews
* Obtain candidate feedback following all interviews and ensure all candidates are contacted in a timely manner to inform them of the outcome
* Manage all onboarding for the company, including writing offer letters, obtaining references, and processing DBS checks
* Set up and maintain employee HR files to ensure safe recruitment (CQC)
* Assist our in-house training manager by updating induction and training attendance information on our training platform
* Respond to general recruitment queries (both internal and external) by telephone and email
* Provide administrative support to the HR team as required and attend weekly team meetings
About you:
* Proven experience in recruitment, ideally in-house
* Strong administration skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages
* Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to independently manage workload
* Highly organised, pro-active, and a sense of urgency
* Previous experience in the healthcare industry is preferable but not essential
