Senior Consultant - EIA
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EIA Consultant to join our dynamic environmental consultancy team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will support the planning and delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments across a range of sectors, including renewable energy, infrastructure, and urban development.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate EIA projects, ensuring compliance with UK environmental regulations.
* Conduct environmental assessments, impact evaluations, and risk analysis.
* Liaise with clients, stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Prepare high-quality Environmental Statements (ES) and technical reports.
* Provide expert guidance on environmental legislation and policy.
* Support business development activities, including bid writing and client proposals.
* Conduct site visits and environmental monitoring when necessary.
Requirements
* A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Planning, or a related discipline.
* Experience in EIA coordination and project management, ideally in the UK.
* Strong understanding of UK EIA regulations, environmental legislation, and planning policies.
* Excellent report-writing and analytical skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
* Proficiency in GIS and environmental data analysis tools (desirable).
* Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IEMA, RTPI) is an advantage.
