Job summary The Children's Therapies Team is an integrated therapies team providing Speech andLanguage Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Specialist Nurse Advisors and CareCo-ordinators to children 0 - 19 years within KCHFT. We currently have 3 Band 6 Speech and Language Therapy posts available on a fixed term basis for 1 year (start date negotiable) giving the successful candidate the opportunity to workwithin our Early Years team and or our School Years team. Full time and part time will beconsidered. The Early Years sessions are based in one of our community clinics in Canterbury and Thanet where you will be able to work alongside some of our experienced Clinical Specialists. TheSchool Years sessions are within our mainstream school service where you will be workingwith team of Speech and Language Therapists and our Specialist Teacher offering a range ofuniversal, targeted and specialist service delivery options under the Balanced System model. We currently offer a hybrid work pattern for staff with face to face sessions offered from clinics and within the community and also sessions worked remotely from home.We work closely with colleagues from other health, education and social care teams toprovide an integrated team around the child approach. Main duties of the job To assess, plan and implement SLT interventions that support children with a range ofspeech language and communication needs.To deliver evidence-based SLT interventions for children that support them achieving theiridentified health outcomes. To develop integrated care plans in partnership with the child, young person and / or family recommending and supporting interventions that are appropriate at a universal, targeted andspecialist level. To participate in clinical supervision and to work as part of an integrated team with Therapy Assistants, OTs, PTs, SLTs, Care Co-ordinators and Specialist Nurse Advisors offering supportto colleagues as appropriate to knowledge and skills. To actively work as a member of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams to provide high quality care to children and young people in line with our care pathways.
