We are seeking a qualified School Counsellor to join a vibrant school community in Birmingham About the Role: In this rewarding role, you will provide exceptional counselling support to students using a variety of proven techniques. You will be a part of a supportive pastoral team and play a vital role in the well-being of our students. Main responsibilities and duties: To provide a counselling and support service to pupils. To work with a diverse range of issues including but not exclusively: eating disorders, self-harm, depression, anger management, anxiety and fears. To liaise with the pastoral team and advise of issues affecting pupils in their House. The advice should not compromise confidentiality. To liaise with the school nurses and school doctor and advise of issues affecting pupils. Be responsible for liaising with pupils and scheduling appointments via school email. Pupils can also book appointments via the Wellbeing Centre. Work in consultation with the School's policies and in particular, the child protection and safeguarding policy.
