Offshore Wind O&M Manager
£ Experience dependent + comprehensive package
Berkwickshire, Scotland – onsite
We are seeking a well-versed Operations Manager to lead the operations and maintenance (O&M) team at a major offshore wind farm. The role involves ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the wind farm, maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance, and maximizing operational performance. The role also includes managing budgets, collaborating with key contractors, and contributing to long-term strategy development for the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a high-performing O&M team to ensure safe and efficient wind farm operations.
* Transition the site from the construction phase to operational readiness, implementing necessary processes and procedures.
* Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance, developing and maintaining robust safety plans.
* Manage the O&M budget, ensuring effective financial processes and cost control.
* Plan and coordinate daily operations, including grid compliance and major maintenance campaigns.
* Develop and refine HV system maintenance strategies, working with technical teams and external contractors.
* Supervise 24/7 site monitoring and emergency response coordination.
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, grid operators, and industry representatives.
* Represent the site at external meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Requirements
* Degree qualification in a relevant field.
* Proven experience in offshore wind operations or equivalent power plant operations.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
* Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, with knowledge of relevant legislation.
* Expertise in HV safety and maintenance strategies, ideally with experience in SAP and Control Person roles.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills, with experience in budget management.
* Proficiency in IT systems, including asset management tools.
* Flexibility to travel within the UK as needed.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
