About the Role
This is a trainee role requiring a candidate who is passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated, with a willingness to enter education through the NTAP Cover Supervisor trainee programme. The programme is run by experienced teachers at Vision for Education and provides candidates with necessary personal development and support in the role with a placement in a school. Candidates will receive additional support in their career as a cover supervisor.
The role of a Cover Supervisor within a school is to facilitate and support learning while managing behaviour in the classroom in the absence of the Subject Teacher. The post holder should possess the following characteristics: flexibility, adaptability, good subject knowledge across various subjects, excellent verbal and written skills, enthusiasm for supporting and teaching in a school for ages 5-16, and a willingness to contribute to the school environment and the progress of students.
Candidates with experience in sports coaching, teaching assistants, and other education settings would be suitable for the programme. The candidate must have a high level of professionalism and an excellent manner with children and young people.

About the School
We currently work with several schools in and around Bristol, supporting their day-to-day and short-term cover needs. They expect a high level of professionalism and quality education from their Cover staff. Experience in this field is not essential; however, a strong interest in education and a willingness to undertake training to become an experienced cover supervisor is required.
Requirements
1. Experience supporting children or willingness to gain experience.
2. A genuine desire to become part of a committed team of cover staff.
3. Relevant referenceable experience working with children.
4. A passion for education and an interest in pursuing a teaching or support route.
5. Willingness to obtain a DBS.
