The Emotional Health Service (EHS) is a dynamic and progressive Tier 2 CAMH team of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CBT Therapists, Systemic Psychotherapists, and Art Psychotherapists. We have teams at Richmond (Twickenham base) and Kingston (Chessington base) and work closely with our colleagues in Early Help and Social Care. We have staff working in specialist posts in Safeguarding, Looked After Children, and deliver a local Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service. We have a strong sense of team and work together to support children and young people's emotional wellbeing.
Our Assistant Psychologist posts are central to the service. You will be part of an Assistant Psychologist group and will focus on providing clinical, administration, and audit support to the teams under the supervision of qualified staff.
Main duties of the job
The role is focused on supporting our Richmond Cluster teams with waiting list work, mental health assessments, and potentially co-delivery of groups. It is based in Civic Centre, Twickenham.
The role is varied and provides opportunities for potential supervised clinical work in assessment, interventions, and groups, supporting the team with report writing and clinical discussions with colleagues, ad hoc audits, and service development work.
As an Assistant Psychologist in the EHS, you will be passionate about improving the mental health of children and young people and putting them at the centre of all you do. You will provide input and support to the EHS team. You will receive clinical supervision and line management within the service.
