About the Role
As PMO Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and managing a best-in-class Programme Management Office to oversee our £320M Supply Maintenance Delivery Portfolio, including:
Maintenance Delivery Programme – AMP8 (£240M)
Reporting to the Head of Supply Maintenance Delivery, in the new Supply Maintenance Delivery team, you will drive governance, risk management, performance monitoring, and strategic alignment across all non-infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. PMO Leadership & Governance – Establish and lead a structured PMO, ensuring standardised project management practices.
2. Risk & Opportunity Management – Develop reporting structures and mitigation strategies for effective decision-making.
3. Financial & Commercial Oversight – Implement cost controls, optimise value, and drive commercial challenge.
4. Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with regulators, delivery teams, and supply chain partners to ensure successful outcomes.
5. Performance Monitoring – Design and maintain automated dashboards for real-time programme tracking.
6. Continuous Improvement – Identify process enhancements, improve compliance, and drive best practices.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
1. Proven senior leadership experience in managing PMOs for large-scale, multi-programme portfolios.
2. Strong commercial and contractual acumen, with a track record of managing complex contracts and financial oversight.
3. Expert knowledge of risk management, project controls, and programme scheduling.
4. Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) with expertise in programme governance and delivery.
5. Ability to lead and inspire multi-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
