To ensure we continue making an impact, we are recruiting for an ESG Manager. The ESG Manager will further develop, implement, and oversee the companys Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. This role involves tracking sustainability performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, engaging stakeholders, and driving corporate responsibility strategies that align with business objectives and industry best practices. ESG Strategy & Policy Development Developing and implementing ESG strategies, frameworks, and policies in alignment with business objectives, matching the BSI 14001 certification and driving a reduction in carbon emissions. Working closely with senior leadership to integrate ESG considerations into corporate decision-making and ensuring our associates are trained on key ESG initiatives and regulations Environmental Sustainability & Compliance Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws, sustainability regulations, and industry best practices within the UK, EU and Middle East whilst collaborating with operational teams to implement green practices, renewable energy initiatives, and sustainable sourcing policies. Governance & Ethical Business Practices Ensure strong corporate governance by promoting ethical business practices, risk Management, and compliance with ESG-related regulations whilst working with legal and compliance teams to align ESG policies with corporate governance frameworks. Enhance supply chain transparency and ensure ethical sourcing and responsible procurement practices. ESG Reporting & Data Management Complete customer questionnaires and support tender processed, provide feedback/assistance to the sales team on ESG initiatives. Reporting ESG performance data where required, e.g. in accordance with international sustainability reporting frameworks as well as to Sonepar. Risk Management & Continuous Improvement Identifying ESG-related risks and opportunities for the business, including climate risks, regulatory changes, and stakeholder expectations. Benchmark ESG performance against industry standards and competitors to drive continuous improvement. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING TO MAYFLEX? We are looking for an engaging, analytical individual with the ability to communicate impactfully at all levels. A quick learner with a strategic mindset who has: Knowledge of environmental regulations, social impact programmes and ethical business practices.
