As Connected and Automated Mobility Services (CAMS) Product Specialist, you will support the development, integration and implementation of various CAMS products into the relevant DVSA Driver services.
You will be joining our CAMS team and will support the services development. The DVSA product will cover Driver CAM services.
In this role you will need to develop policies by understanding the legislation and regulations that will govern the CAMS product workstream.
Our rapidly evolving technical environment requires a proactive and flexible approach to personal development to keep up to date with this changing technology and the governments objectives.
This role provides the opportunity to closely interact with Department for Transport (DfT), Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV) and DVSA teams including Policy, Operations, Enforcement, & Digital.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
* Working with the Workstream Product Manager and other product managers, supporting the development and delivery of the CAMS product (s) to meet the agreed objectives.
* Working with the product manager to design and develop product(s) from inception of legislation through to implementation and if necessary, closure. This includes responses to technical progress, legislative changes and customer-led demand to improve the overall effectiveness of the product(s) and service provision.
* Collaborating with representatives from Operations, Digital Services and Technology, Human Resources, Learning and Development, Estates and Finance to support policy development and provide feedback as and when required.
* Providing expert technical product/policy advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders and customers/end users on any component of the product lifecycle.
* Building good relationships with all team members and communicating politely and promptly to internal and external customers.
