Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

LINKS Recruitment Group present a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to work within a well-established company who are continuously growing due to company success.
The role:
1. To provide breakdown service to the production areas to ensure safety, quality and productivity targets are met.
2. To carry out a programme of planned maintenance on plant / production machinery, ensuring that they are available for production in a safe and efficient condition.
3. To support the Engineering Supervisor with the continual development and improvement of the facilities and services available to the business.
4. To work proactively, identify and act upon any sub standard areas.
5. Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
6. Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.
7. Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
8. Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.
9. Ensure that ‘general’ building/facilities maintenance is carried out.
10. Support the introduction of new machinery and products.
11. Work closely with other internal departments.
The Person:
1. Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in a engineering-related subject; or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering role.
2. Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
3. You will be multi-skilled, with the ability to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields.
4. Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
5. Ability to perform both proactive & reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system.
6. IOSH working safely / managing safely is desirable but not essential.
7. Ideally, you will have PLC experience – specifically, Siemens S7 / Mitsubishi.
8. Ability to read, understand, generate technical, electrical and P&I drawings.
