The Role:

As Festivals Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring Oxfam’s presence at festivals is impactful, engaging, and well-coordinated. You'll oversee partnerships with key festival clients, manage volunteer engagement, and lead the delivery of an exceptional on-site experience.

What You'll Be Doing:
1. Oversee the delivery of a diverse portfolio of festivals, ensuring Oxfam's presence aligns with our strategic goals for fundraising and supporter engagement.
2. Build and maintain strong partnerships with festival clients, ensuring their requirements are met while maximising Oxfam’s impact.
3. Manage operational planning for festivals, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure smooth delivery.
4. Provide hands-on leadership on-site, ensuring volunteer teams are well-supported, briefed, and equipped to deliver outstanding results.
5. Develop training and briefing plans to ensure volunteers are fully prepared for their roles.
6. Work closely with internal teams to support volunteer recruitment, ensuring targets are met.
7. Prioritise health and safety, ensuring all activities comply with Oxfam’s safeguarding procedures and event safety standards.
What we are looking for:
We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front, manage multiple priorities, and keep their cool under pressure. The ideal candidate will have:
1. Proven experience in event planning and logistics, ideally within festivals or outdoor events.
2. Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and volunteers.
4. Experience in managing risk and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
5. Confidence in leading teams, particularly during fast-paced live event environments.
6. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
7. Experience working with volunteers and fostering an inclusive, positive environment.
8. Established contacts within the festival industry.
