Darlington Borough Council is seeking to recruit a Community Cook to cover the catering provision across the Extra Care Housing Schemes, preparing and serving meals to the residents and providing occasional support to the catering team at the Dolphin Centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Preparing and measuring out ingredients according to recipes
2. Serving meals
3. Stock control
4. Temperature control
5. Washing up
6. Setting tables
7. Cleaning tables and equipment
8. Ensuring high standards of food hygiene/handling and safe working practices at all times
This is a 25-hour post, over a five-day week and will include some weekend work. It is a 6-month Fixed Term contract while operations are reviewed across the schemes by the newly appointed Community Catering Manager.
