Finance Assistant required in Solihull, Birmingham. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join a growing accounts team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build on existing finance experience within a supportive and professional environment.
\n \nJob Title: Finance Assistant \nLocation: Solihull, Birmingham Business Park (B37) - Initially site-based, hybrid working available after probation period. \nSalary: £26,000 - £28,000\nHours: Full-time, 40 hours per week \nJob Type: Permanent \n \nKey Responsibilities: \n \nMaintain and update the daily cashbook, posting journals into Sage \n \nProcess supplier invoices and resolve related queries \n \nManage customer receipts and vendor payments in both Sage and Dolphin systems \n \nHandle multi-currency payments (GBP, USD, EUR) via online banking platforms \n \nPerform month-end reconciliations of supplier and customer statements \n \nProcess staff expenses and manage associated reconciliations \n \nRaise override/rebate invoices using Sage \n \nSkills & Experience Required: \n \nStrong understanding of basic accounting procedures and principles \n \nExcellent communication skills - both written and verbal \n \nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail \n \nProficient in Excel and general IT systems \n \nAbility to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently \n \nDesirable: \n \nPrevious experience in a similar finance or accounts role \n \nProficient in Sage accounting software \n \nExperience with Dolphin system (advantageous but not essential) \n \nThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy finance environment and is keen to contribute to the success of the team. \n \nInterested?
