CrossCountry are recruiting a Trainer to help train and grow our new recruits and existing colleagues, which is vital to our success. Based in our Customer Service Training Centre in Derby, the role of the Trainer will play a significant part in maintaining the design and delivery of great training and development for our frontline colleagues. We are looking to find someone who is passionate and professional and who is seeking a career as Trainer within the training team. We are looking for someone to join our established team and develop and train in the following areas: Training of Caterers/Retail Support Specialists/Cleaners/Stations/Service Centre/Customer Service training Develop and train in PTS leading to safety critical training and learning to deliver the Train Manager/Senior Conductor course Following up with previous delegates out on board, supporting and feeding back to the wider customer service teams and other departments. Carrying out assessments on board. Coaching and support to existing employees. As part of the Customer Services team, your role will focus on ensuring our training plans and both classroom and onboard training is of the highest standard possible. As you might expect, we need flexibility as the role will require a variety of working patterns and can involve conducting training at other locations, including onboard our trains across the network. To succeed in this role you must be able to demonstrate: Essential: Engagement - the ability to work at all levels throughout CrossCountry and engage with stakeholders as well as captivate and inspire others. Flexibility – both in terms of working hours and location of work. Vision & Values – understanding and demonstrating CrossCountry’s vision and values. Creativity – prepared to think of alternative ways to do things and not just accepting ‘the norm’. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Desirable: Basic IT skills and the ability to embrace and use new technologies effectively. Previous training or coaching experience would be advantageous but not essential as this is a growth role. · A keen interest in developing your knowledge of railway operations, and the impact on safety and maintaining competence are essential in developing you’re future growth and competence moving forwards. Therefore, this new exciting challenge of gaining this experience and developing others through learning plans and coaching are paramount for this new and exciting role.
