We are seeking a Team Analyst (TA), with a strong track record of investing ability and genuine interest in Impact investing, for our Global Impact Equity Strategy in the Global Equity Group. Based in London, the Team Analyst will support the Portfolio Manager in managing the Global Impact Equity strategy in accordance with its dual mandate of outperforming its MSCI ACWI benchmark while delivering demonstrable positive environmental and social impact. The range of accountabilities of the Team Analyst varies based on the unique needs of the Portfolio Manager but will include working closely on idea generation, portfolio construction, risk management and attending client meetings (when required). The Team Analyst will be expected to cover and rate up to 10 impact stocks. Principal Responsibilities Investment Management: Assists Portfolio Manager in managing Global Impact Equity in accordance with its respective investment and impact mandate and guidelines to maximize long term performance and impact. This requires analysis and discussion designed to support the Portfolio Manager’s investment decision making and portfolio construction and will consider many factors, including the evaluation of stock recommendations made by Investment Analysts, identifying other uncovered investment ideas for the portfolio and the risk taken in the portfolio. The ability to provide a point of view and challenge is critical. Impact : Impact idea identification, measurement and involvement in impact engagements with companies Collaboration: Works with the Investment Analysts, ESG analysts, Sector Portfolio Managers and other Diversified Portfolio Managers to develop sound investment ideas and recommendations as well as to communicate ideas to the investment organization. Franchise Development: Works alongside the Portfolio Manager in franchise development, working with the distribution channels and presenting the portfolio philosophy, process, performance and positioning to existing and prospective clients (when required) Stock Coverage / Ratings : In collaboration with the Directors of Research, identify uncovered stocks, globally and provide coverage and ratings for at least 10 impact stocks for the benefit of all strategies (Global, International and US). Travel : Regular international travel to meet companies and investments, especially to the US and Asia Key Performance Indicators Demonstrable passion for Impact Investing Create strong working partnership with the PM Provide advice and challenge on stock selection and portfolio construction Help expand the strategy’s engagement with the platform, including traveling with analysts Be willing to participate in client and prospect meetings Cover/Rate 10 stocks Necessary Characteristics: A strong investment track record Genuine and long term passion for Impact Investing Possess a global investing mindset, with the intellectual curiosity and flexibility to expand into new areas Demonstrable ability to balance appropriate analytical depth and rigor with strategic thinking Ability to distill broad and diverse views into a holistic investment outlook Able to demonstrate comfort with risk-taking and handling pressure under adversity Able to constructively challenge the lead PM in order to be additive to the portfolio construction and decision-making process Intellectual honesty with a continuous-improvement mentality Excellent communication skills - written and verbal - and an ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment Must be willing to travel globally.
