We are currently looking for a proactive and organised Collection Project Coordinator to join our Arts Council Collection (ACC), on a full time fixed term basis, until September 2026. The role is based at the Arts Council Collection s site in South Yorkshire between Wakefield and Barnsley. The site, shared with Yorkshire Sculpture Park, is in a rural location and will require the use of a car and a full UK driving license. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse and world-renowned collection that spans over 8,200 works by 2,200 artists, including iconic names like Barbara Hepworth, Tracey Emin, Anish Kapoor, and many others. As part of a dynamic team, you ll help ensure the safe storage, handling, transportation, and installation of some of the UK s most significant contemporary art. In this role, you ll be the main point of contact between the Arts Council Collection team and the transport agent responsible for the move. You ll coordinate and manage movement of artworks to the new store ensuring the highest standards of collection care. As a key player in a large-scale collections move, you ll have the chance to hone your skills in collection care, project management, and logistics while helping to preserve and safeguard a vital part of the UK s cultural heritage. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate the transport and logistics of artworks, ensuring timely and safe delivery to the new store. Work closely with the Senior Registrar and Assistant Registrar to prepare documentation, manage schedules, and keep stakeholders informed. Ensure all information relating to the handling, packing, storage, installation and display of artworks is recorded and documented. Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards during the move. What We re Looking For: Experience in collections management, particularly with object movement and decant projects or exhibitions and displays. Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to deliver on time and within budget. Knowledge of collection care standards and best practices for handling, packing, and moving artworks. Excellent organizational, communication, and IT skills, with a collaborative team-focused approach.
