Responsibilities:
* As a 2nd Line of Defence risk function work with 1st Line of Defence or process owners to maintain departmental risk registers using an enterprise-wide risk management framework and risk and control self-assessment methodology.
* Help develop and implement risk management strategies and control measures to mitigate enterprise-wide risks.
* Consolidate and report risk register, KPI and KRI data from process owners to the Risk and Compliance Committee and the Board of Directors.
* Advise the Risk and Compliance Committee and the Board of Directors on matters relating to enterprise-wide risk management.
* Train and advise 1st line of defence or process owners in using risk frameworks and assessments.
* Maintain and manage CRM software within the company.
* Manage, investigate and analyze potential fraudulent activities, including chargebacks and unauthorized transactions from a 2nd line of defence perspective.
* Develop rules to monitor transactions and user activities to identify suspicious behavior or fraudulent patterns.
* Monitor and collaborate with the first-line operations team and other departments to address and resolve fraud-related issues.
* Stay updated on the latest fraud trends and techniques to enhance fraud detection and prevention efforts.
* Liaise with regulatory authorities and law enforcement agencies in fraud investigations and reporting.
* Review and enhance existing fraud prevention & chargeback policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
* Conduct internal training sessions to educate employees on fraud awareness and prevention measures.
* Work with the technology team to implement fraud detection tools and systems.
* Generate and analyze reports on fraud and risk-related metrics for management and regulatory reporting.
* Assist in compliance audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in Enterprise-wide risk management framework, KPIs & KRIs, Risk and Control Self-assessment or other related risk management frameworks
* Previous experience with CRM software is a plus but not required.
* Proven experience in risk management, fraud prevention, or related roles, preferably within the FinTech industry.
* In-depth knowledge of fraud detection and prevention techniques, as well as risk assessment methodologies.
* Familiarity with UK financial regulations and compliance requirements in the FinTech sector.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate fraud and compliance risks.
* Experience in conducting fraud investigations and analyzing suspicious activities.
* Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders, including law enforcement and regulatory authorities.
* Understanding of fraud prevention tools and technologies to enhance detection capabilities.
* Ability to stay updated on the latest fraud trends and techniques to adapt preventive measures accordingly.
* Detail-oriented and organized to manage fraud-related data, documentation, and reporting.
* A proactive approach to improving fraud prevention policies and procedures to meet regulatory standards.
