NHS HIGHLAND RAIGMORE HOSPITAL, INVERNESS CONSULTANT IN DIABETES AND ENDOCRINOLOGY / GENERAL INTERNAL MEDICINE 10 PAs/40hours per week £107,144-142,369 per annum pro rata NHS Highland is looking for a Locum Consultant to join our enthusiastic, dynamic and forward thinking team and work with the existing consultants in continuing to provide a high quality General Internal Medicine (GIM)/Diabetes and Endocrine service for the Scottish Highlands. The successful candidate will be expected to work within the diabetes multidisciplinary team, providing a wide range of diabetes and endocrine services (which may include outreach clinics in Fort William, Thurso and the Isle of Skye) and participate in the medical on call rota on a 1:16 basis. Applicants should be able to demonstrate extensive experience in GIM and Diabetes and Endocrinology and should hold, or be eligible for CCT in GIM and Diabetes and Endocrinology, or equivalent, within 6 months of interview. Many staff work and live in the Highlands because of the unrivalled access to outdoor activities. Skiing, rock climbing, Munro “bagging”, summer/winter mountaineering, or trekking in the numerous magnificent glens all come as standard perks of the post.
