Operational Duties & Accountabilities - As part of the Housing management team, you will support the Head of Service in the success of the Compliance Team, creating excellent partnerships, leading a knowledgeable and customer focused team. - We need an enthusiastic, driven individual to manage the Compliance Team in line with current regulations and council policy, delivering responsive, cyclical, and planned maintenance programs including gas, electric, fire, asbestos, water hygiene and lifts. - Ensure that all homes and common areas within the local authority's housing service, which manages 5000 homes, are compliant with the Regulator of Social Housing's Safety and Quality Standard and all relevant legislation and regulations related to health and safety. - You will formulate and execute comprehensive strategies, policy and processes to ensure the effective management of compliance and lead on initiatives to continuously improve service delivery, enhance operational efficiency, and adopt best practices in compliance and technical services. - Lead and manage a team of compliance professionals, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within the team, provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities for team members. Identify and address any resource gaps and allocate resources effectively to meet service delivery targets. - Assist with procuring new compliance contracts and be responsible for the compliance expenditure, budgets providing regular financial and data reports to senior management. - Oversee the effective management of contracts, KPI’s and departmental objectives.
