Job Description
A key aspect of this role involves overseeing a small team to ensure customer requirements and production deadlines are met in an efficient manner.
* Scheduling, coordinating, and executing a production schedule to meet operational needs is crucial.
* Preparing equipment such as vacuum furnaces, aligning production settings with operational requirements, and performing hands-on tasks like loading and unloading furnaces when necessary based on business needs.
* Utilizing the production system to manage works orders, ensuring costs are accurately recorded and collaborating with internal stakeholders to maintain quality standards.
* Frequent engagement with customers for updates on job progress and technical support for sales quotes or new job requirements.
* Close collaboration with the line manager and sales team to drive business growth, improve efficiencies, and achieve sales targets.
Requirements:
* Experience working within the heat treatment industry with exposure to brazing and heavy engineering.
* Familiarity with quality management standards (minimum ISO 9001) and basic understanding of reading engineering drawings, projections, and tolerances.
* Excellent communication skills for relaying information effectively internally and externally, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and focused approach to work.
* Proficiency in IT skills, experience with ERP systems, and relevant supervisory experience or team leadership in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
* Self-driven with good interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork, with an advantage given to those familiar with AS/EN 9100 standard and NADCAP.
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
