We are looking for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our amazing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for customer service, a love for animals, and the desire to be part of a dynamic veterinary practice.
Key Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Receptionist, your role will involve:
1. Frontline customer service: Be the first point of contact for clients, greeting them warmly and helping with their enquiries (in person, on the phone, and via email).
2. Appointment scheduling: Book appointments for clients and manage the clinic’s daily calendar.
3. Client communication: Provide clear, helpful information about our services, treatments, and preventive care options.
4. Administrative tasks: Handle office duties such as managing client records, processing payments, and keeping the reception area organised.
5. Support the veterinary team: Assist in maintaining a smooth operation of the clinic by liaising between the clients and the veterinary team.
6. Stock management: Assist in ordering and managing clinic supplies as needed.
The perfect fit
We are looking for a candidate with customer-facing experience, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting. Strong communication skills are essential to make clients feel welcome, while organizational abilities are key to managing competing priorities under pressure. A genuine compassion for animals and their owners is important, as is proficiency with practice management software and general office systems. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to support colleagues.

Your shift pattern
This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week;
1. Monday and Tuesday - 1 pm – 7 pm
2. Wednesday - 8:30 am – 5 pm
3. Friday - 2 pm – 7 pm
This may also include cover at our other branches.
