Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our company in DC/LF Metrology and Manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical assistance and support related to our products and software. The Technical Support Engineer will work closely with customers, ensuring timely resolution of issues and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role entails troubleshooting technical problems, guiding clients through step-by-step solutions, and collaborating with the engineering team to further enhance product performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a profound understanding of electrical and electronic systems, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
The Technical Support Engineer will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our customers and technical teams.
Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, or in-person.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to our products through use of schematics and in-house diagnostic tools.
3. Document and track support requests using our ticketing system.
4. Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to resolve complex issues.
5. Conduct training sessions for customers on product features and functionalities.
6. Analyse customer feedback and product performance metrics to identify recurring issues.
7. Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and technical documentation for future reference.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in technical support or a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems and components.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service orientation.
6. Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
7. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while being self-motivated and reliable.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £23,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
