The key responsibilities and duties of the Material Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
1. Manage and maintain material supply schedules to meet production needs
2. Oversee daily work order material management, including stock sourcing and purchasing coordination
3. Assess volume requirements, ensuring alignment with production plans
4. Identify and mitigate material risks to prevent production disruptions
5. Ensure accurate data in MRP/ERP systems and resolve any discrepancies
6. Monitor BOM integrity and support inventory accuracy
7. Optimize material flow to production points and manage inventory levels
8. Implement and improve supply processes while supporting continuous improvement
9. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations
10. Maintain housekeeping standards and support industrial relations
11. Train personnel as needed based on qualifications and experience
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
12. GCSE or Equivalent
13. Degree or Equivalent in a relevant subject (desirable)
14. Apprenticeship (desirable)
15. Material planning experience, preferably in aviation
16. Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred)
17. Strong Microsoft Office skills
18. Knowledge of BoM, routing, and production planning (MRP, scheduling)
19. Understanding of LEAN, JIT, and process improvement with hands-on experience
