Job summary Job summary Are you passionate about gaining Enhanced Care experience/skills to provide care and support to women requiring Enhanced Care. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Midwifery Team and will report to the Lead for Enhanced Care. We have an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed Specialist Team focusing on upskilling the nursing and midwifery workforce as part of our Enhanced Maternal Care team. This post is a substantive Full Time post (12 hours), and it offers the successful applicant the chance to play a role in the development, implementation and delivery of care in our EMC team, providing level 1 plus Enhanced Care on Delivery Suite and across the midwifery service at RDH. The post will include attainment of clinical skills in the provision of Enhanced Care. We encourage an innovative approach to the role, whilst acting as a role model at all times. Main duties of the job The Post Holder is Responsible and accountable for the delivery of high quality, effective and compassionate nursing care in Maternity caring for level 1 plus women as part of the EMC team.This includes assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised care in collaboration with the Maternity team.Specific training will be provided with reference to recognition of the acutely ill woman. The National Competency Framework for Enhanced Care (Level 1 plus) will be followed as part of the successful candidate's Personal Development Plan.Competencies will need to be maintained; this may require time spent with Critical Care/ Outreach.
