Main Function of the role:
To provide value-added Multi-Asset best execution services to Federated Hermes Limited Investment Teams, executing global products and providing colleagues with market intelligence & news flow.
Key task and responsibilities:
* To provide Equity & FX best execution transactions for Federated Hermes Limited Investment Funds. To provide colleagues with relevant market intelligence and news flow.To advise colleagues on trading strategies as required.Trade at all times in a compliant and administratively rigorous manner consistent with relevant procedures manuals and settlement deadlines.Prepare pre and post trade analysis reports for review.Conduct and report on trade cost analysis.Minimise risk in trade execution procedure. Adhere to the FCA’s Conduct Rules, understanding that they set basic standards of good personal conduct. Foster and maintain a culture reflecting FCA and other regulatory obligations (and Federated Hermes’ Code of Ethics) compliant with the FCA Conduct Rules.Ensure all your obligations as a Certified person are performed.Ensure there are no persistent failures of performance or compliance breaches in areas of responsibility. For any failure or breach, the incumbent should ensure that action is taken and documented with intention of preventing a similar transgression.
* Investment decisions are controlled by the Investment Managers, but Traders have full authority to place and work orders within the parameters of orders passed to them, particularly in choosing where to and who to trade with, and how to work the order.
Experience Required:
* Experience in trading equities
* A solid understanding and experience of multi asset execution across global products
* Experience using an OMS and EMS as well as execution platforms such as Bloomberg and FX connect, EMSX, Market Access, TradeWeb, Posit & Liquidnet
* Experience Trade cost analysis
* Experience in electronic trading including broker algos & DMA
Candidate Profile:
Experience of trading global multi asset products within an Investment Manager / Financial Institution. Collaborative and willing to develop their trading knowledge in other asset classes in order to aid personal development and progress their career. Has strong interpersonal skills, an enthusiastic approach and is willing to provide help and support to the team as required.
There would be a benefit from having relevant professional qualifications, along with continuous industry knowledge development by attending recognised courses. Likely to be Certified (currently or in a previous role) under SMCR or previously registered as an approved person.
