As a Treasury Accountant, you will have responsibility for reporting both internally and externally for all areas of treasury including forex, interest, cash and intercompany funding. You will be preparing cash forecasts and manage short term cash requirements. You will be ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date while ensuring compliance with Treasury policies and the timely completion of key SOx controls for the department. Key to this role will be identifying process improvements and streamlining these across all companies.
The Treasury department’s primary focus is managing the banking relationships for the Group in Europe to ensure there is sufficient funding and liquidity while also managing market risk. This is a role that will constantly challenge and provide scope for personal growth and development within a £4.5 billion revenue European business.

Key Responsibilities
* Review and complete monthly bank reconciliations;
* Report cash balances for all Pilgrim’s Europe bank accounts on a daily basis;
* Process daily treasury payments including funding requests and interest payments in compliance with company policy;
* Lead and oversee the cash pool structure and advise on cash pool funding;
* The design, build and maintenance of the Treasury cash forecast model and process;
* Management of bank documentation requirements including KYC requests.
* Manage the reporting and development of all Treasury KPI’s.
* Month and year end reporting for areas of treasury including forex, interest, cash and intercompany funding;
* Support preparation of quarterly and annual financial disclosures under IFRS for group, investors and statutory reporting;
* Assist as required with the quarterly and annual external audit processes;
* Responsible for the administration of the group’s debt facilities including intercompany borrowings;
* Provide oversight and support the administration of all treasury applications and systems;
* Identify improvement opportuntities to optimise treasury processes and streamline internal controls;
* Maintain compliance of Treasury policies and the timely completion of key SOx controls for the department;
* Assist with projects and ad hoc queries from across the global group and other external parties.
Essential Skills
* Minimum 4 years experience in a professional environment; preferably treasury, finance or banking;
* Professional accountancy qualification
* Good computer literacy, particularly strong competency in Excel;
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Able to communication with all levels both inside and outside the business;
* Ability to operate as a role model, inspiring integrity, honesty, respect and open communication;

* Ability to break down problems into meaningful parts and come to rational and well-thought out conclusions;
