The Governors of Sitwell Infant School are seeking to appoint a well-motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Wraparound Care Assistant to join our hard working, outstanding team. The post is temporary in the first instance, but may become permanent if our wraparound provision proves to be successful and sustainable. The post is also subject to a satisfactory probationary period of six months.
We are thrilled to have received funding to be able to provide Wraparound Care at Sitwell Infant School. We are now seeking a part time Wraparound Care Assistant, who will work under the direction of the Wraparound Care Leader, to provide Sitwell children with after school care that is high quality and inclusive. Sitwell Infant School has extensive outdoor area with a large playground, large field and an onsite woodland area. We would be championing our outdoor learning environment to allow pupils to access active experiences, adventure and opportunities alongside time for downtime. The facilities at Sitwell Infant School will allow the programme to include Forest School provision with full Forest School Leader training provided for the successful candidate.
Sitwell Infant School is a large and successful infant school with an inclusive and child centred ethos. Ofsted judged us Outstanding in June 2014 and we have continued to be relentless in our pursuit for all children to reach their full potential. We are looking for an energetic and talented Wraparound Care Assistant to support us to further develop an exciting, stimulating and enjoyable wraparound offer for our children.

We are looking for a Wraparound Care Assistant who:
Will deliver the wraparound programme in the designated indoor and outdoor environments, under the direction of the Wraparound Care Leader
Will work together with the Wraparound Care Leader to meet the needs and interests of the children in our care
Builds positive relationships with all parents/carers, communicating clearly with them, encouraging them to participate in their child’s progress and development
Contributes to a safe, stimulating and attractive environment
Liaises with parents/carers regarding bookings
Settles in new children and provides ongoing support for them and their families, through a Key Person approach
Interacts positively and enthusiastically with children, considering their individual needs
Provides a friendly, caring and relaxed environment to promote and develop children’s learning
Contributes to planning and resourcing a stimulating, purposeful environment that supports learning both indoors and outdoors
Is an excellent role model for children, parents and other staff, displaying a positive and professional attitude
Ensures the highest standards of safety, security, hygiene and cleanliness are always operated within the setting
