Job Summary
As a Camps Lead & Staff Manager, you will play a dual role in overseeing staff performance while also ensuring the successful planning and execution of our camp programs. You will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing a team of camp counselors, educators, and support staff, ensuring the effective delivery of engaging camp activities and fostering a culture of excellence. Additionally, you will inspire and motivate students by delivering dynamic and engaging PE lessons to our partner schools, encouraging active lifestyles and fostering a love for physical education.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations and ensure that all staff members are performing their duties effectively.
* Develop training programmes to educate staff on best practices and operational procedures.
* Implement sports coaching techniques to enhance team performance and morale.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
* Foster a collaborative environment by encouraging open communication among staff.
* Organise team-building activities that promote engagement and camaraderie.
* Address any personnel issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a harmonious workplace.
* Maintain records of staff performance, attendance, and training progress.
* Community Engagement: Foster relationships with parents, campers, and local organizations to promote participation and enhance the camp experience.
* Budget & Resource Management: Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement to ensure efficient camp operations.
* Physical Education Delivery: Plan and deliver high-energy, inclusive PE lessons to partner schools, ensuring students develop fundamental movement skills and a lifelong passion for physical activity.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably within a sports or educational setting.
* Strong background in sports coaching with the ability to educate others effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Proficient in using technology for reporting and communication purposes.
* A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that values diversity.
