An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Planned and Surgical Care Directorate for a 6 month secondment covering maternity leave. This is a great development opportunity for someone who is interested in developing their operational management skills. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with both the General Manager and Operational Director in the operational management of key surgical services. This is a key leadership role where you will contribute to strategic planning, lead projects, and ensure targets are met within a fast-paced, patient-focused environment., As Deputy Service Manager you will have a range of duties and responsibilities, including managing the day to day performance, quality, governance, communication and financial management of key surgical services. Other key responsibilities will be to work with senior members of the Directorate to take delegated responsibility for monitoring and ensuring that agreed contractual activity and access targets are understood, met and, where necessary, delivery plans are adjusted to reflect the achievement of national and local targets., At Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust we provide 'outstanding' care to both our patients and our staff. · Support the General Manager in the operational and efficient and effective management of key surgical specialties.
· Contribute to the delivery of Elective Care Recovery.
· Support in the development of a culture where quality and services continually improve.
· Supports a streamlined approach to the delivery and development of operational services within the Directorate and where required in collaboration with other agencies.
