POSITION SUMMARY – FACILITY SERVICE ATTENDANT Responsible for cleaning and maintaining both indoor and outdoor locations. Establishes and promotes a safe, accident free, and healthy work environment. Ensures compliance with local, county, state, and federal regulations regarding facility maintenance. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: Prior experience in a similar position preferred, which may include working as janitor, custodian, plumber, electrician, or carpenter. Experience working with public is desired. A mechanical inclination and/or experience working with hand and power tools strongly preferred. Skills: A valid North Carolina CDL driver’s license with P endorsement is preferred. Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. Light to moderate lifting, pushing, pulling climbing and prolonged periods of standing. Vision, hearing, speech and manual dexterity are required. Must be able to read and comprehend reference materials, service manuals, parts manuals and electrical/pneumatic schematics. Other physical demands may be necessitated based on work assigned. Mental Demands: Must have the ability to listen, reason, think, concentrate and interact with others. Ability to follow instructions and manuals is necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Open and close facilities as scheduled for use by employees and public. Secures all locks and doors. Provides assistance and information to facility users. Maintains professional, courteous demeanor while working with internal and external customers. Assists with inventory of supplies and equipment. Sets up tables, chairs and equipment for programs, meetings, etc. Return tables, chairs and equipment to original locations following events. Performs custodial duties, outside field maintenance, facility and environmental inspections. Checks and replaces consumables and equipment as necessary Sweeps, mops, and cleans garage floors, pits, and service areas Lifts, moves, and dumps trash containers Documents and reports necessary repairs and incidents to supervisor.
