Full-Time Geography Teacher – Secondary School GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Gosport, Hampshire. This is a full-time, permanent role with a starting date from February/Easter 2025 depending on notice periods. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £30k to £50k per year, depending on experience, from ECT through to the Upper Pay Scale. Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher: Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across key stages. Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans and activities that engage and challenge students. Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on student progress to support their development. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and encourages participation. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to curriculum delivery. Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge. Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities. Required Qualifications for a Geography Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong knowledge and passion for Geography and the national curriculum. Experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level (ECTs welcome). Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills. A commitment to student development and well-being. Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best. A proactive, team-orientated approach to teaching and collaboration. Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
