SEND Teacher – Primary Teacher
Are you a SEND Teacher who is eager to work within a welcoming mainstream primary school in East Manchester, supporting early years and KS1 children?
This thriving 3 form entry primary school is searching for an experienced SEND Teacher who will be working with their most vulnerable pupils, many of whom are non-verbal and some working at an academic level 2 years below their age.
Although this SEND Teacher role will be incredibly rewarding, it does take a teacher who can manage a team of Learning Support Assistants to ensure the academic development and support for all students are met. This includes personal care.
SEND Teacher – The role:
1. Teaching a class of EYFS & KS1 children
2. Students have additional needs, many non-verbal
3. Plan, prepare and deliver lessons
4. Ensure the wellbeing & safety of pupils is met
5. Manage Learning Support Assistants in your class
6. Some personal care required
SEND Teacher – The requirements:
1. QTS / Teaching qualification
2. SEND teaching experience
3. Works well independently and as part of a team
4. A full enhanced DBS, which can be processed through Smile Education.
5. Valid right to work in the UK
