Process Improvement Engineer Liverpool, Merseyside Competitive, Pension, BUPA Medical Cash Plan, Life Assurance Olleco is on a mission to protect the planet by working together with thousands of food service businesses to ensure that greenhouse gas emissions are reduced by hundreds and thousands of tonnes. We are now looking for a Process Improvement Engineer to work as part of our Biodiesel and Anaerobic Digestion team in Liverpool and help us to continue to do things the right way. In this position you will play a fundamental role providing operational support for troubleshooting plant issues, identifying root causes and complete development projects to improve plant safety and increase plant capacity. You will also step up to cover the Biodiesel and AD Manager in their absence. Duties will include Lead plant development trials as required Trouble shooting plant issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions Developing plant procedures Track plant lost production and Pareto the leading issues each month Support the training of new operators Provide engineering support and lead projects to provide long term solutions to improve plant safety and increase plant capacity Experience & Qualifications we will be looking for: Qualified to degree level in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Chartered or working toward chartership Strong understanding of process safety (ideally supported by IChemE Fundamentals of Process Safety or NEBOSH Process Safety Management course attendance) Understanding of regulations surrounding waste management (preferably WAMITAB Waste Management Certificate) IT proficient The ideal candidate will have: At least three years industry experience Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade, influence and challenge Creative and analytical thinking style; resilient and tenacious Driven to improve performance and deliver outstanding results through new, innovative and more effective ways of working Strong time management and project management skills with the ability to deliver to deadlines Effective team working skills, supporting the needs of colleagues whilst being able to work independently using initiative Olleco is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
