Type: Full Time; Permanent
Start Date: April 2025 or as soon as possible
MLK Search is excited to support this ‘Outstanding’ Independent Special School in west London seeking to appoint a confident, creative, and passionate Assistant Headteacher to lead on Curriculum and Wellbeing across their Primary and Secondary sites.
This is an inclusive co-educational provision for children with Autism aged between 5 and 16 years, split across two sites in West London. It is truly unique, with a student-centred approach, and the professional development and wellbeing of staff at the forefront of everything they do.
Each pupil receives an individually devised programme based on a pupil-centred, multi-professional approach to learning, aimed at increasing communication and independence.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior teacher or middle leader with experience in SEN education (preferably for children and young people with Autism) to join an outstanding organisation and, in collaboration with an exceptional CEO and Headteacher, restructure and embed an exciting new curriculum and wellbeing offering.
The successful applicant will have:
1. A recognised teaching qualification and experience in curriculum design and development.
2. Successful teaching and/or leadership experience within a similar setting.
3. Excellent knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and relevant accreditations related to SEN/Autism.

5. Additional qualifications related to SEN and/or school leadership would be highly desirable.
6. Strong understanding of Ofsted expectations and the Independent Schools Standards would also be highly desirable.
