Job Description Summary
Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst. The Inventory Analyst reports directly to the MRO Inventory Manager and will act as a strategic liaison between Sunbelt Rentals field operations, Fleet, manufacturers, and suppliers. The core focus of this position will be to assist the procurement process by controlling resources related to purchase, receipt, shipment, disposal, return, and organization of operational inventory.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain accurate preferred supplier inventory controls, catalog pricing, and GL categorization.
2. Assist with the SmartEquip procurement platform and all of its duties to include troubleshooting, training, maintenance, administration, and utilization efficiencies.
3. Analyze internal consumption, external sales, and industry specific rental metrics to develop and execute replenishment for MRO Inventory.
4. Maintain item master data for all operational inventory.
5. Utilize reporting metrics required for the functions of inventory management and vendor analytics.
6. Work cross functionally with the sourcing department to identify cost savings initiatives around inventory purchases and the procurement of MRO expenses.
7. Advocate vendor management and onboarding procedures including vendor consolidation practices to reduce vendor count and drive cost savings through national strategic relationships.
8. Support PCs in total inventory life cycle management including sourcing, data maintenance.
9. Support and drive supplier inventory programs that fill the requirements of our rental and field operations.
10. Maintain reliable maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) Procurement Platform including over 90% of all parts and merchandise required.
11. Enable seamless ordering capabilities for all active locations.
12. Engage key MRO suppliers in process improvement and program enhancements.
13. Act as an inventory consultant with field operators and promote an environment of continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field of study.
2. 2-5 years of inventory management required.
3. Experienced with the construction equipment marketplace, either from an equipment fleet management or manufacturer perspective.
4. Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills; comfortable in dealing with all levels of an organization and processing an ability to articulate and frame issues in a clear and concise manner.
5. Ability to design and maintain reporting requiring advanced knowledge of relational database applications including but not limited to SQL Server, Sequel Viewpoint, Microsoft Query, and Microsoft Access.
6. Project management experience involving multiple business units and functions.
7. Demonstrated ability to affect positive change and to deliver results in a complex organization.

Base Pay Range: $63,520.00 - 87,340.00
