People Management (PM) is the award-winning media brand for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, providing expertise on the world of work for over 160,000 members globally.
This role will encompass delivery of revenues across the extensive range of CIPD events, including the commercial revenues generated from our award-winning exhibitions, CIPD Festival of Work, and the CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE).
We are currently seeking an experienced Account Manager to manage established accounts and focus on new business growth. Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will work alongside the rest of the team to maximise the commercial potential across both PM and CIPD's event portfolio.
The successful candidate will be expected to show the best possible attitude, output, and desire to champion our brand in the market. You will be responsible for delivering results across a portfolio that includes display, content solutions, awards, conferences, exhibitions, events activity, and bespoke solutions.
Responsibilities
Core requirements:
1. Maximise revenue for the full CIPD and PM portfolio from your assigned client base and new business areas.
2. Confident in arranging and conducting high-level face-to-face meetings with key clients.
3. Ability to think on your feet and develop integrated, cross-portfolio campaigns for clients.
4. Professionally represent Haymarket as well as the CIPD both internally and externally.
5. Demonstrate strong sales ability and motivate the team around you.
6. Good understanding of digital products and ability to drive digital revenue streams.
7. Eager to be involved with all elements of live events to ensure successful delivery on revenues and execution.
8. Ability to work well under pressure and maximise relationships with colleagues and the CIPD.
