Job Description:
1. Appraisal and evaluation of client tender requirements and specifications in bid preparation
2. Abstract and report on contractual tender stage information
3. Manage tender information efficiently
4. Undertaking tender site visits
5. Develop subcontract trade package enquiries
6. Take off and produce tender stage bills of quantities
7. Pricing of tender labour, plant and material rates build ups
8. Analysing supply chain enquiries for tender
9. Producing tender risk information
10. Reporting for tender adjudication
11. Communication and handover of estimates
12. Early engagement with client teams to provide cost advice
13. Providing early stage project cost plans
14. Managing client preconstruction phase programme expectations
15. Delivering value engineering optioneering
16. Managing and reporting tender stage cost controls
17. Working within a client collaborative team environment
18. Use of Causeway software to send out enquiries and analyse returns
The Successful Applicant:
We are looking for an experienced Estimator who has previous building contractor experience (Tier 1 is not essential). You will have strong commercial awareness with value engineering and first principles. We are looking for an individual who is confident using their own initiative and is independent, needing minimal supervision. You will have worked on projects valued from £100,000 to £10 million.
Package on offer:
The role offers a highly competitive salary up to £65,000 plus car allowance, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension and healthcare.
