Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to clients in their daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming as needed.
Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and outcomes.
Support clients with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that enhance their physical and emotional health.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or condition to the appropriate personnel.
Assist clients to appointments or community activities when required.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Housekeeping and maintaining health and safety standards.
Skills
Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
Experience in care is highly desirable.
Knowledge of home care practices is an asset.
Previous experience in care is beneficial.
Proficient in first aid practices and emergency response procedures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
