An exciting opportunity has arisen on OPAU for a 30hr part-time clinical support worker to join our up-and-coming team.

OPAU is a 28-bed assessment unit for over 74s who may suffer from frailty. Our aim is to view our patients from a multidisciplinary team perspective to create the best possible care plan and safest discharges.
We liaise with community services as well as provide frailty clinics Monday to Friday for our patients.

Main Duties of the Job
To assist Registered Nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team in implementing patients' care plans. Also undertake some clerical and domestic duties to ensure a safe environment.

Desirable
* Previous experience and training of manual handling patients using appropriate equipment
* Can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of promoting patient independence
* Able to provide support and reassurance to patients
Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
Essential
* Level 2 qualification (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2) in Health & Social Care OR a good standard of general education to GCSE level and the agreement to undertake the relevant L2 qualification on appointment
* Completion of the Care Certificate theory and practice standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust
Desirable
* Experience working in a clinical environment
* Experience working in the NHS
