About the role We are looking for a passionate People Generalist to join our driven People Team at Moonpig Group. As a People Generalist, you'll work at our Tamworth Operations site in the UK and report into the People Partnering team. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support and guidance to employees and management across the employee life cycle, inclusive of but not limited to; employee relations, on/off boarding, performance management, learning & development, HR administration (inclusive of data support for ensuring accuracy of monthly payroll), as well as temp recruitment support. A key aspect of the role is to coach and guide managers, ensuring they are empowered to take ownership of their teams and people-related issues. Our philosophy is that managers are responsible for looking after their employees, with HR acting as a supportive partner, providing guidance and tools to help managers effectively lead and develop their teams. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for UK-based (inclusive of Guernsey) employees and managers, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment law. Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, managing issues such as grievances, disciplinary actions, absenteeism, and performance management from investigation through to resolution across the UK. Ensure ongoing compliance with employment law, regulations, and internal policies, and supporting internal audits related to HR practices. Collaborate with Operations and the Payroll team to ensure timely and accurate data processing, inclusive of overtime. Support on cyclical activity within Operations, such as performance and talent management, engagement and ways of working initiatives, working closely with the Operations Management Team, as well as the wider People Partnering team. Assist Operations Management (inclusive of site management) with appropriate change management initiatives, including workforce planning, ensuring communication and support for affected employees. Oversee the Operations employee representation body, ensuring broad and effective representation to foster a positive working culture across all sites. This includes managing re-elections, providing training, and leading collective consultations as required. Work with L&D to identify training needs and coordinate & facilitate relevant initiatives to enhance employee skills, knowledge & ensure compliance within our UK factories. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in line with data protection regulations. Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring fairness in all aspects of the employment processes. Being proactive with data, preparing reports, metrics, and analysis where required to provide insight to positively impact the organisation. You'll be a great fit if you have: Previous experience as a People Generalist, preferably in an Operations or Manufacturing environment. Solid understanding of UK employment law and best practices with demonstrated ability to manage complex ER case work from start to finish, it would be preferable if this knowledge also included Guernsey. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose effective solutions based on data and information analysis. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels. Proven conflict resolution and mediation skills to resolve workplace issues in a fair and impartial manner. Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks. Experience working in a busy function and handling multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with HRIS platforms for managing employee data, reporting, and payroll processing. Experience working with a variety of differing levels of stakeholdersStrong data analytical skills, and evidence of using this to proactively support the organisation.
