We are a supportive, forward thinking 6 partnerpractice providing a high standard of traditional family medicine to a growinglist size of 9500 patients. Baildon Medical Practice is a purpose-builtpractice located in a quiet rural village within easy commute of Shipley,Bingley, Keighley and North Leeds. We are part of the 'Bingley Bubble' PrimaryCare Network. The nursing team includes 3 nurses and 2 healthcare assistants.The role includes preventative and treatment clinics. You should haveexperience in child and adult immunisations, dressings and wound care, cervicalsmear taking, and chronic disease management. Experience in family planning andtravel immunisation are also desirable. The vacancy is for a minimum 20-25 hours per week. Please see attached job description. We are looking for a Practice Nurse for between 20 and 25 hours per week. The successful candidate will hold NMC registration. We are seeking a qualified Nurse who is enthusiastic, approachable, compassionate, organised and confident to work unsupervised in a treatment room. An enhanced DBA check will be required for this position.
Duties include:
Blood Pressure reviews
Smears
Child Immunisations
ECGs
Removal of Sutures
New patient medicals
Urinalysis
Attend and participate in training and meetings as required.
Height, Weight reviews
Family Planning
Assist Coil fits and Minor Surgery
Ear Irrigation
Injections and Vaccinations
General Nursing duties as required
Experience of Long Term Condition Management
Completion of insurance reports on behalf of the practice
As a member of our team you will be supported by a full complement of clinical and non-clinical staff. A basic knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage but full training will be given.
