What the Job Involves As a Catering Assistant, you are an integral part of the catering team at St Anthony’s School. You are responsible for providing healthy, freshly produced school meals at a special school in West Sussex. Your duties include assisting in the preparation, cooking, service clearing, and cleaning of catering equipment, ensuring all activities adhere to necessary hygiene and safety standards. You are responsible for maintaining written documentation related to Health & Safety and Food Safety Legislation. Operating in a fast-paced and active environment, you regularly lift, move, and handle large equipment. Clear communication in English with the public is essential to your daily responsibilities. You work 20 hours per week, from 10.00 to 2.00, Monday to Friday, during term time and are required to have an enhanced DBS check.
