Claims Executive – Corporate & Commercial Location: Southampton (with potential flexibility to work from Alton, Reading, or Farnborough) Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in office, 3 days from home Salary: up to £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Type: Full-time, Permanent We are looking for a skilled Claims Executive to join our Corporate & Commercial team. This is a key role focused on managing complex and high-value claims while supporting junior team members and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurers. What you’ll be doing: Manage the full life cycle of commercial claims, including large and contentious cases Act as the main point of contact for clients, insurers, loss adjusters, and legal representatives Mentor and guide junior claims handlers, promoting best practices and professional growth Investigate on-site losses and develop robust cases for swift and fair outcomes Negotiate settlements with insurers, ensuring optimal results for clients Analyse claims data to identify trends and improve claims processes Stay up to date with industry developments and regulatory changes Prepare reports and present key performance updates to stakeholders Requirements: Extensive knowledge of commercial insurance and claims procedures Previous experience in a brokerage setting is essential Strong communication, negotiation and client relationship skills Proven leadership abilities with experience mentoring others Resilient, organised, and able to manage deadlines independently GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) required A Levels and CII/CILA qualifications desirable What you’ll get in return: Hybrid working model with flexibility and work-life balance Opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive, growing team Clear progression pathway and ongoing professional development
