Our client requires an audit senior.
This role will be most suited to someone who thrives under pressure, is delivery-focused, enjoys accountability, has a 'can-do' attitude, and is looking to improve his/her skills and competencies through self-development.
You will have significant experience in statutory audit, bookkeeping, and statutory accounts preparation and will have worked extensively in Practice.

Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Lead company audit assignments, which will include planning, fieldwork, and completion using standard programmes.
2. Preparation and completion of company accounts in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures.
3. Carry out specialist audits (e.g., SAR, ATOL, pensions, and charities).
4. Carry out ad-hoc assignments (e.g., due diligence and systems reviews).
5. Preparation of corporation tax computations.
6. Carry out work efficiently, to budget, and within deadlines.
7. Supervise, train, and mentor more junior members of staff.
8. Research and analyse financial statements and audit-related issues.
9. Maintain client confidentiality and professional relationships.
10. Proactively interact with client management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
11. Manage assignments and report to audit manager or partner on progress.
Requirements & Qualifications:
1. ACA or ACCA qualified or finalist.
2. Experience within a multi-partner practice with audit exposure.
3. Ability to work under pressure.
4. Excellent management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
5. Strong technical knowledge.
6. Leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
7. Ability to work in a team environment.
8. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask and complete assignments within budgets and deadlines.
9. Dedicated to superior client service.
10. Ability to build a quick rapport in a friendly, confident, and enthusiastic way.
11. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
12. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sage, Xero, and other accounting software.
13. Experience and knowledge of CCH would be an advantage.
14. Ideally a driver with own car.
15. Technically up to date with current legislation.
