This is a rare Pharmacist opportunity that is non-customer facing, yet part of an innovative operation that could become more prominent in the future. Dispensing is for pre-approved private prescriptions, only across a limited selection/range of lines. All other activity is Pmed approval for processing through the warehouse WMS system. Although the role is not customer facing, it will still involve counselling activity via telephone consultations. All clinic lines orders are via pre-approved private prescriptions which are processed within the Pharmacy. The shift pattern for this role will include working every other Saturday, covering the core operating hours of 8am-10pm Monday – Saturday. Accountable for all aspects of quality delivery in the DSP to ensure patient safety Accountable for on site management and compliance by colleagues to the agreed SOP’s Confirms competence of all DSP roles against the SOP’s and associated training Accountable for investigation and resolution of any quality incidents when they occur, ensuring clinical and quality incidents are correctly recorded by following procedures which are in line with audit and risk Accountable for the escalation process in the event of a clinical incident Approval of master data and barcode validation to ensure products can be processed Leading a safety-first culture ensuring patient safety and H&S standards are adhered to and reviewed appropriately Work flexibly as part of the DSP leadership team to support end to end performance Work collaboratively with the business and 3rd party stakeholders to ensure the DSP is a fully integrated operation Contributes to the continuous improvement agenda in relation to clinical impact on decisions Leads the clinical elements of the production shift supporting colleagues to complete tasks to time and with high degree of accuracy What you’ll need to have Be registered with relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI) Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise and be widely respected by stakeholders, peers, patients, customers and external local professionals Have a passion for community pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers.
